Excessive Oiliness
I have combination/oily skin so thought I would give this cleanser a try. I love it! It cleanses well, doesn't dry my skin out and does help to combat the oiliness.

I've been meaning to write a review for years and finally got around to doing it, yaaaaay!Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind "Combination/Oily Skin really is gentle and mild. This lathers like soap and thorughly cleanses your skin, including heavy makeup! All you you need is a finger tip - Just use a little to clean your face. Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind left my skin feeling really vey clean. I have been using this for years and no more spots! Result!

Breakouts/Acne
I am so glad I chose this cleanser as one of the samples! I have combination skin with hormonal acne I couldn't tolerate the old version of this cleanser as I found it too drying but this works perfectly!I feel it deeply cleanses where it needs to and hydrates the dryer skin area's!I'm definitely going to be purchasing the full size version for bad skin weeks!

Sensitivity
I’m new to buying Clarins products as I’ve only recently started to invest in my face! However I am absolutely loving this cleanser! I have awful skin that is dry but also oily which is the worst combination, I also have very sensitive skin but find that this works perfectly, leaving my face feeling soft and not dry or tight which other combination skin cleansers tend to do! Will definitely be buying again, thank you Clarins!!

Breakouts/Acne
I bought this for my son to try and deal with a blemished combination skin. We've tried cheaper alternatives but always come back to this one because it works!!! It balances the skin without stripping all the natural oils

Really like this product. You only need a small amount, leaves skin feeling clean but not stripped. Can be a bit difficult to get out of tube but appears this tube has a newer, slightly larger hole so seems improved.

Foams well - little product goes a long way. It is average for it's price. Won't be purchasing again as, cheaper products have more of a wow factor.

Rosacea
Clarins please bring back the old gentle foaming cleanser with tamarind. The quality of the ingredients, and the softness of the soap, is so much better. I have been using the tamarind gentle foaming cleanser for, I’m sure 15-20yrs, and it’s the only soap I rave about, for people like me with dry and oily skin. why would you just discontinue this with no warning? The new alpine herbs one you’ve brought out is terrible. The smell and consistency of the soap is watery and weird, the ingredients and formula have been changed drastically, I can tell. It’s not creamy and foaming on the skin like the old version.I hope you take mine, and others comments in this review into consideration, as I have seen reviews everywhere, with opinions agreeing with mine. I feel strongly about this because I have rosacea, and it’s the only soap that is suitable for me, also I have spent thousands on clarins products over the years, and this is very disappointing. Many thanks.

Excessive Oiliness
I'm a guy with combo / oily skin - I've been using the previous version with tamarind for at least 10 years and would never go with any other cleanser as it made my skin feel amazingly clean and oil free.I just want to echo what others have said, and wanted to add my huge disappointment at this replacement. The consistency is horribly thick, it doesn't foam very well, smells super weird and doesn't leave your skin feeling anywhere near as clean as the tamarind version. Give this product a miss - I've had to move to another brand now.

Breakouts/Acne
Made me breakout after about a week of use, obviously not made for teenage skin. Did not improve my redness, actually made it worse! I'm going back to my simple skin care routine! NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! Also, made my skin dry, and I have combination skin.

Excessive Oiliness
I have a combination/oily skin and unfortunately the product doesn't work for me. Love the consistency, it's gentle enough yet it doesn't give a mattifying effect that I would expect from a comb/oily product. My skin is more shiny and greasy after this than it was when I was using Clinique. Love the toner from same range, but the wash is a no for me, sorry. If you have same skin type as me you'd be better off with gentle foaming tamarid cleanser (which I haven't tried) but considering it's specifically for oily skin it might be better.
