Clarins

Gentle Foaming Purifying Cleanser

2 out of 5 stars.

Enlarged Pores

Age 25 to 34

Olive

Foams well - little product goes a long way. It is average for it's price. Won't be purchasing again as, cheaper products have more of a wow factor.

Rosacea

Clarins please bring back the old gentle foaming cleanser with tamarind. The quality of the ingredients, and the softness of the soap, is so much better. I have been using the tamarind gentle foaming cleanser for, I’m sure 15-20yrs, and it’s the only soap I rave about, for people like me with dry and oily skin. why would you just discontinue this with no warning? The new alpine herbs one you’ve brought out is terrible. The smell and consistency of the soap is watery and weird, the ingredients and formula have been changed drastically, I can tell. It’s not creamy and foaming on the skin like the old version.I hope you take mine, and others comments in this review into consideration, as I have seen reviews everywhere, with opinions agreeing with mine. I feel strongly about this because I have rosacea, and it’s the only soap that is suitable for me, also I have spent thousands on clarins products over the years, and this is very disappointing. Many thanks.

Excessive Oiliness

I'm a guy with combo / oily skin - I've been using the previous version with tamarind for at least 10 years and would never go with any other cleanser as it made my skin feel amazingly clean and oil free.I just want to echo what others have said, and wanted to add my huge disappointment at this replacement. The consistency is horribly thick, it doesn't foam very well, smells super weird and doesn't leave your skin feeling anywhere near as clean as the tamarind version. Give this product a miss - I've had to move to another brand now.

Gentle Foaming Hydrating Cleanser

Breakouts/Acne

Made me breakout after about a week of use, obviously not made for teenage skin. Did not improve my redness, actually made it worse! I'm going back to my simple skin care routine! NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! Also, made my skin dry, and I have combination skin.

Excessive Oiliness

I have a combination/oily skin and unfortunately the product doesn't work for me. Love the consistency, it's gentle enough yet it doesn't give a mattifying effect that I would expect from a comb/oily product. My skin is more shiny and greasy after this than it was when I was using Clinique. Love the toner from same range, but the wash is a no for me, sorry. If you have same skin type as me you'd be better off with gentle foaming tamarid cleanser (which I haven't tried) but considering it's specifically for oily skin it might be better.
