I’m not generally a fan of Clinique as I have ultra-sensitive skin and a penchant for more ‘nautral’ or ‘ethical’ brands. But I needed a makeup remover - a product I normally struggle to find due to aforementioned ultra-sensitive skin. So I turned to the trusty Mecca website and it’s user ratings and reviews which suggested there was only one real contender: this product from Clinique.As it’s an oil-based balm type thing, a little goes a long way, so it’s good value for money. The oil and lack of foaming action also means that it hydrated and doesn’t irritate my skin when I take the day off. Today I’d been covered in about 3kg of make-up for a photo shoot; it only took five minutes to take it ALL off with this product and a soft cloth.So far would definitely buy again.

I bought this product after suffering an awful reaction to a kora organics cleanser. It is so gentle and effective! It takes off my water resistant mascara immediately and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. I saw that some people use it as a first step to a double cleanse but I found that I don’t need to cleanse after using it.

This cleanser is so good at removing makeup! However, it is oil based and it sort of leaves a bit of a residue so I have to wash my face after with a water based cleanser, but after that my face feels so clean! I always used an oil based cleanser followed by a water based one for super clean results.

Now on to my second tub, love this cleanser. I don’t have particularly sensitive eyes and think works well even on eye makeup and gets off mascara without needing to rub to much. Only downside is that it is in a tub and expires after 6 months, you don’t need much to remove a full face of makeup so if you don’t wear makeup everyday you might not use up the whole tub in that time. I have dry skin and don’t notice any residue or left over oiliness after wiping or washing off

This product was recommended to me by a rep in Maxima recently after I explained I am very sensitive to most cleansers and hate the "tight" feeling, but really want something with the power to melt off my makeup, especially heavy mascara and eyeliner. The balm does a great job of this and it is great value for money.Only advice I would give is if you have sensitive/dry skin I would recommend following with a really gentle cleansing milk after using this balm.

this product is nice enough.. it takes a few goes to remove my mascara and leaves my skin feeling a bit oily- that doesn’t last long. still overall a great makeup wipe but i’ve used better - i have sensitive skin and it doesn’t aggivate it so that’s a plus

This product definitely cleans your face. I love the fact that it really feels like it’s done a great job. But my issues are that it stings like crazy if you get it in your eyes so it’s not good for eye make up plus I worry that it might be a bit too strong.
