I’ve been hunting for an alcohol-free cleanser for a while. I was always skeptical of the balm, but after giving up finding a gel cleanser without alcohol, I decided it give it a shot. I am SO glad the Mecca attendant talked me into it. I no longer have to over-compensate for my cleanser drying my skin out! After a week of use, my skin felt plump and hydrated. My only gripe is that I think Drunk Elephant could work on their formula a smidge to make the oil glide a bit more so I don’t feel like I’m somewhat pulling my skin. But overall very happy, and will purchase again!

I bought this cleanser about a month ago and I love it. I was hesitant at first because I had never used an oil cleanser and I was worried it would make my skin feel oily and not clean, but I am officially sold. I have dry skin, with dryness and irritation a problem especially in winter. Since I switched to this cleanser, my skin no longer feels stripped and I am no longer getting that awful dry, tight sensation. One of my favourite Drunk Elephant products. Highly recommend!

I was sold this product with the understanding it would successfully remove my make up before cleansing. Even after using it and cleansing my face I was still wiping make up off with make up remover and a cotton pad. I was upsold this product from my initial intention of just buying a cleanser. At $50+ a tub that smells like lard, I would have been better off smearing coconut oil all over my face.

I’m not usually sensitive to products so initially this was lovely to use! Gentle and not too drying with slight exfoliation - though I soon broke out in a very painful, itchy rash on both sides of my face. I’m sure this is a beautiful product, I may have been allergic to a specific ingredient that I haven’t been exposed to before.

I bought this like 7 months ago and have been using it consistently so I feel like I have a fair say in this. It BROKE ME out like a lot. Every single time I used it felt hydrating afterwards but the next day I would have random red patches and new pimples. My usaul skincare routine never did this and when I incorporated it, the new pimples appeared. On the other hand, the texture is not what I anticipated. It's chunky and doesn't "melt" that well since the chunks are still there. I wore very little makeup yet none of it came off, I had to use micellar water afterwards since it never did the perfect job at removing make-up.
