I know this is expensive, but I really really liked it. However during summer it will melt to liquid instead.

Admittedly, I was mildly skeptical of the effectiveness of this cleanser with such a big claim to fame - 'the best cleanser in the world' sets the bar pretty high I'd say. After attending an Eve Lom event, I was instantly hooked. I now use the Morning Time cleanser and this cleanser for the evenings. Both cleansers remove every last trace of oil and makeup, leaving your skin feeling clean (but NOT tight), hydrated and ready for the next step. The muslin cloths also help exfoliate the skin - I no longer use a dedicated exfoliant as these do the trick nicely (and I WAS a rampant exfoliator!). This feels like a treat every night before bed.

Love this cleanser, been using it for a couple of years now - probably the longest I have ever stuck with a cleansing product. I find the process of using it in the evening relaxing, I love the smell and it scrubs my face completely clean of make up. Also removes the need for a seperate exfoliant, so despite the price tag I find it to be great value. A 100ml tub also lasts for 5 months or so with daily use. I have combination skin and I find this product does not aggrevate it at all.

I love this cleanser because it takes ALL my make up off & does not leave my skin dry and crying for my night cream! It has the ability to make you feel so luxurious during your daily routine & that is so rare these days!

Finally, a cleanser that meets all my expectations! Smells divine, deep cleansing, exfoliating and non drying. An iconic staple in my skincare regime.

This product leaves the face feeling amazing and I was complimented on my skin's improvement within 2 days of using this product. However, after a week I had to stop using it. I had a few mild zits when I started using this and these turned into large angry pimples which three weeks later I am still trying to get rid of! The product is great for clearing very minor skin issues such as small blackheads, but don't use it if you have acne or pimples. It would be amazing for someone with more mature skin, but for an 18 year old, it isn't the right product.

I bought this product after the zillions of rave reviews and cult following it has, and I was so disappointed. I just don’t get what the hype is about. It’s a super, SUPER thick / greasy / gritty paste (think Vaseline if you put it in the fridge). The smell is unremarkable. It is nice massaging it into your face, but again, it feels very thick and heavy. The biggest problem for me was removal - it does not come off / out of my skin easily with hot water and the muslin cloth. I have to really scrub and rinse and re-apply hot water 2-3 times before I feel like the thick greasiness is gone, then have to follow with a foaming wash in the shower to finally get rid of it.While it does leave my skin soft and clean after I eventually manage to get it all off, in my experience it was not worth the effort and the results were average. I will definitely not buy this again, especially given the hefty price tag.

I purchased this on a whim and I don’t understand the seeming “cult” status this has. It smells like moth balls and is sticky. It does the job but I won’t repurchase.

I bought this awhile back along with the $15 muslin cloth based on the positive reviews online. I used it according to the instructions - lathering the balm with some warm water and onto my face then wiping it down with a warm muslin cloth. Within a couple of days, my skin broke out like I was a hormonal teenager. I never used it again after that and I didn't realize I could return the product so it became a very expensive paper weight. I used to never read the ingredient list and rely too much on reviews. I've just discovered that this has a few different oils which I've come to learn clogs my pores and make me break out bad. I would say if you have oilier skin (mine is combination), you should stay away.

Worst breakout with this product after one use. The cloth makes it worse

I only bought this a week ago, and I’ve used it twice. It smells really bad with a strong fragrance that lingers on your face. Does it remove your makeup? Yes. Is it worth the price point? No. Is it an overrated product? Yes!

I bought the mini cleanser to see if this would work with my skin, I have combination skin erring on the oily side and am very breakout prone. It has a lovely smell and feels great on the skin but unfortunately it was a bit too gentle and didn’t assist with breakouts
