Prior to using this cleanser I used to get breakouts, usually once a month. Since using this cleanser for over 2 years now, I rarely ever get break outs. In fact, I once forgot it when I went on holidays and lo-and-behold, out came those little blemishes right in time for holiday snaps :(I love the initial fragrance when I take the lid off and melt it between my fingertips. It gets all my eye make up off effortlessly and leaves my skin feeling cleansed and plumped, ready to moisturise. It is my daily transforming ritual that I cannot live without!

The first thing you notice about this cleanser is the colour but don't let that put you off, it truly works wonders.Once you get over the fact that you're slathering your face with a greenish goop, you will fall in love with this cleanser. I really like the steaming process with the muslin cloths and the gentle exfoliation.

I received a sample of this cleanser from Mecca. I was a bit skeptical as there's so much hype around this cleanser...and for good reason!! It is AMAZING!!! Hands down the best cleanser I've used and I've tried prevage, Lancôme, SKII etc, this is above and beyond. I cannot recommend this product enough. Beautiful scent, fantastic results.

Perfect product that gently removes all your makeup, leaves skin soft and not tight, and has given me even skin tone. I had to get used to applying this to a dry face and then applying the hot mueslin cloth, but now it's just part of the regime. Love this product.

I remember getting a sample of this years ago from Mecca and just being too wary to try it. Why would I want to put more oil on my face? All of a sudden everyone on You Tube was using cleansing balms and I had to jump on the band wagon.I originally purchased this in a set with the kiss mix, rescue mask and morning cleanser. This was the stand out product.I just apply it to a dry face, massage in and then remove with the muslin cloth. Very simple and not much effort for great results. I would say that my breakouts are now very minimal and my face feels very hydrated after I cleanse.I have also used three other cleansing balms (not available on the Mecca site) and while Eve Lom is the most expensive for the size of the product it is by far the best cleansing balm I have tried.

I bought this product after the zillions of rave reviews and cult following it has, and I was so disappointed. I just don’t get what the hype is about. It’s a super, SUPER thick / greasy / gritty paste (think Vaseline if you put it in the fridge). The smell is unremarkable. It is nice massaging it into your face, but again, it feels very thick and heavy. The biggest problem for me was removal - it does not come off / out of my skin easily with hot water and the muslin cloth. I have to really scrub and rinse and re-apply hot water 2-3 times before I feel like the thick greasiness is gone, then have to follow with a foaming wash in the shower to finally get rid of it.While it does leave my skin soft and clean after I eventually manage to get it all off, in my experience it was not worth the effort and the results were average. I will definitely not buy this again, especially given the hefty price tag.

I purchased this on a whim and I don’t understand the seeming “cult” status this has. It smells like moth balls and is sticky. It does the job but I won’t repurchase.

I bought this awhile back along with the $15 muslin cloth based on the positive reviews online. I used it according to the instructions - lathering the balm with some warm water and onto my face then wiping it down with a warm muslin cloth. Within a couple of days, my skin broke out like I was a hormonal teenager. I never used it again after that and I didn't realize I could return the product so it became a very expensive paper weight. I used to never read the ingredient list and rely too much on reviews. I've just discovered that this has a few different oils which I've come to learn clogs my pores and make me break out bad. I would say if you have oilier skin (mine is combination), you should stay away.

Worst breakout with this product after one use. The cloth makes it worse

I only bought this a week ago, and I’ve used it twice. It smells really bad with a strong fragrance that lingers on your face. Does it remove your makeup? Yes. Is it worth the price point? No. Is it an overrated product? Yes!

I bought the mini cleanser to see if this would work with my skin, I have combination skin erring on the oily side and am very breakout prone. It has a lovely smell and feels great on the skin but unfortunately it was a bit too gentle and didn’t assist with breakouts
