I don't mean to swim against the tide here, but I honestly think this cleanser is way over-rated. I was so excited to try the sample that came in my beauty loop samples box, because I've been SO close to buying this product just based on reading all the reviews here that worship the stuff. But after trying it for 5 days, I am glad I didn't buy the product outright without trying a sample first. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the cleanser, but for a face wash that is over $100, I'm not convinced that it does a better job than some of the cheaper cleansers I've used.The consistency of the cleaners is lovely and smooth with exfoliating beads, however the smell of it wasn't great... kind of smelt like wax? I followed the instructions of how to use - basically you massage the stuff on, then you're supposed to soak the muslin cloth in warm water and place it on top of you face gently pressing down on the cloth, and you're supposed to repeat this 3 times, soaking the cloth each time in warm water, and then a final time in cold water to close the pores..... as I said, nothing wrong with this, but I'm the type of person who likes a quick and easy, yet thorough cleansing routine, so for me this was a bit over the top.After trying this product, I don't see anything bad, but I don't notice any improvements to my skin either. It's nice, but it's not the "holy grail" stuff that I expected. If you're not made of money, like me, I don't feel it's worth buying this.

This product deserves the cult status it has been given. The best cleanser I have ever used. Extremely gentle (I have very sensitive skin) but incredibly effective. Muslin cloth is fantastic at exfoliating as well as removing cleanser/makeup and is also very kind to your skin. HIGHLY recommend this product.

Being part Middle Eastern, I have facial hair and blackheads in all of the wrong places. A mixture of plucking hairs and squeezing blackheads over the years had left my skin rough and bumpy, making it difficult to achieve an even, flawless look with foundation. Within a couple of weeks of using Eve Lom cleanser, my skin had completely smoothed out. While it has not eliminated blackheads, I am inclined to think it prevents more from forming.Six months later, I still look forward to using it every evening. I cannot quite understand how a simple muslin cloth can also do such wonders in producing such smooth, supple skin. I must say, I am quite heavy-handed when using the cloth and I think, at times, I will strip my skin of its oils but it seems never to be the case. My skin remains baby smooth and my foundation glides on much easier, giving me a more even complexion. I cannot speak highly enough of this product. Despite having great skin, my boyfriend even enjoys a little pampering with Eve Lom cleaser. Worth investing in the 200ml tub. Expensive but sure to last you between one and two years.This was also the first product I bought from Mecca Cosmetica. Since then I have purchased many products and I am yet to be disappointed with both the products and service provided.

I have tried and tested SO many different cleansers, but EVE LOM, by far, is the best! I used to get quite regular pimples and blemishes but since using this cleanser my skin tone has really evened out and the overall complexion of my skin has drastically improved. The smell is gorgeous and it's easy to use. Well worth the money.

I bought this product two months ago and have seen no difference in my skin. Due to the price I was expecting it to work wonders on my skin. It cleanses makeup and moisturises skin well but not to the quality reflecting through the brand and price of the product. I would not say that it worth the money nor is it that much better than my grocery store Cetaphil. Another thing to take into consideration is the bitter scent, some of the people I know love this smell but I do not. I will not be repurchasing.

I seem to be in the minority with my opinion on this product but it is without question the worst skin care/makeup product I’ve ever used. I used it for about a week and within a day or two I started to develop the most painful horrific cystic acne and little bumps all over my face. I suffer from the occasional hormonal breakout on my chin but never had anything even closely resembling what I suffered with this. I ended up seeing a doctor who told me to stop using immediately. The acne stopped appearing (new breakouts) but it took I’d say about 2 months to completely clear. I still have a scar from one of them. I didn’t use any other new products before during or after - only this and as soon as I stopped it my skin started improving. I wanted to love it due to all the great reviews but this was a massive fail for me. my racialist said mineral oil which is in this product can often have this affect on sensitive skin. So please be careful if your skin is even slightly sensitive.

I’ve tried to love this, but I just can’t. I bought it after reading the glowing reviews, but it just doesn’t work for me. It has a really strong smell which I don’t enjoy and I find it so oily that I definitely have to use another cleanser to get rid of the oily residue left on my skin. I also find my pores get even bigger with this! I was expecting a cleanser that was an all in one, but I could only ever see it as part one of a two step cleanse.

I was super excited to try this product and was expecting to love due to the reviews.It feels so luxurious while using it, it’s velvety and melts on to your skin and really does feel spa-like. But that’s where it ended for me. Within 2-3 washes my skin exploded into tiny bumps/ pimples ALL OVER my face. It was like a rash of pimples! I’m not prone to breaking out so I was horrified to say the least.I do tend to have sensitive skin sometimes, it’s not common but it does happen occasionally, so I’m guessing it just didn’t agree with me.
