Eve Lom

Cleanser

5 out of 5 stars.

Dullness

Age 35 to 44

Light

Looking for an oil cleanser to alternate with my fave 'Hylamide High-Efficiency Face Cleaner', I was advised that the 'Eve Lom cleanser' might be a good alternative. I'm finding that the rich balm consistency melts away makeup really effectively, especially when combined with the muslin cloth (that's included). It leaves my skin feeling enriched and I like the botanical clove/eucalyptus scent.

I have buying this product for years. I’ll occasionally sample new brands but I’ll alway come back to this luxurious balm and the Muslin cloth

Enlarged Pores

Used this a few times a week for a few weeks and my skin feels amazing! I love using the hot / cold water technique

Rosacea

This is my third Eve Lom cleanser, the first in the 200ml. When I’ve found something good I’m willing to make the investment. It is so gentle, with a little going along way, multiplying with water. So easy to spread, removing makeup thoroughly without stripping my sensitised, rosacea skin. My skin feels plumped and smooth. Washing off the makeup is now a joy not a chore!

Fine Lines And Wrinkles

Age 55 to 64

Eve Lom cleanser is a ritual I've been doing for 10 years. It has no peers. Removes all dirt, makeup (including eye) to perfection. It's expensive which is the downside, but I'll never use anything else.

I bought this product after the zillions of rave reviews and cult following it has, and I was so disappointed. I just don’t get what the hype is about. It’s a super, SUPER thick / greasy / gritty paste (think Vaseline if you put it in the fridge). The smell is unremarkable. It is nice massaging it into your face, but again, it feels very thick and heavy. The biggest problem for me was removal - it does not come off / out of my skin easily with hot water and the muslin cloth. I have to really scrub and rinse and re-apply hot water 2-3 times before I feel like the thick greasiness is gone, then have to follow with a foaming wash in the shower to finally get rid of it.While it does leave my skin soft and clean after I eventually manage to get it all off, in my experience it was not worth the effort and the results were average. I will definitely not buy this again, especially given the hefty price tag.

Breakouts/Acne

I purchased this on a whim and I don’t understand the seeming “cult” status this has. It smells like moth balls and is sticky. It does the job but I won’t repurchase.

I bought this awhile back along with the $15 muslin cloth based on the positive reviews online. I used it according to the instructions - lathering the balm with some warm water and onto my face then wiping it down with a warm muslin cloth. Within a couple of days, my skin broke out like I was a hormonal teenager. I never used it again after that and I didn't realize I could return the product so it became a very expensive paper weight. I used to never read the ingredient list and rely too much on reviews. I've just discovered that this has a few different oils which I've come to learn clogs my pores and make me break out bad. I would say if you have oilier skin (mine is combination), you should stay away.

Worst breakout with this product after one use. The cloth makes it worse

I only bought this a week ago, and I’ve used it twice. It smells really bad with a strong fragrance that lingers on your face. Does it remove your makeup? Yes. Is it worth the price point? No. Is it an overrated product? Yes!

I bought the mini cleanser to see if this would work with my skin, I have combination skin erring on the oily side and am very breakout prone. It has a lovely smell and feels great on the skin but unfortunately it was a bit too gentle and didn’t assist with breakouts
