This is one of my all time favourite cleansers! Gentle, clarifying and detoxing...my eczema-prone skin loves it!!! I know most people freak out introducing an essential oil with sensitive or broken skin, but in my experience, nature is the best medicine!!!It helps brighten by stimulating blood flow to the face (especially when you follow Eve Lom's lymphatic drain instructions...google it!). It makes my skin feel supple, and it looks visibly brighter! A little disclaimer to those with congestion...it *will* make you purge thanks to the potent essential oils within this product...also notable instruction I to make sure you are thoroughly washing this off, possibly even following with an AHA/BHA cleanser. For those with sensitive or dry skin, a lactic or mandelic acid cleanser...Because it is quite pricey, I do only utilise this once a week when I do a more intense at home routine, or after wearing heavy makeup. It melts waterproof makeup beautifully, without making your skin feel raw. A must in every cabinet!!!!

The eve lom cleanser seems to be one of those products that people either love or hate! After trailing this in their travel set I was sold. It’s so lush! Leaves my skin feeling plump and nourished and almost feels like a cleanser and skincare in one. The smell is strong (eucalyptus being a major player) but I really love it. I could see how it could be too much for some people though if you were sensitive to smell. Get a trial and do the hot cloth cleanse they recommend in the instructions. It’s so relaxing and nurturing.

I love this product! I was concerned that it would cause breakouts, as I had this issue with other oil/balm cleansers, but it is definitely not the case. It cleared my sensitive, breakout-prone skin and removes all the make-up without drying the skin. The smell is calming and relaxing.

I’ve been using this irregularly for 18months and in the last six months almost daily. I sampled some other balm cleansers because I really like A double cleanse routine. Nothing came close to the clean and still calm and hydrated feeling of this balm. I have acne prone skin so was hesitant to use an oil based product but I have not had any issues at all. Feels like a mini facial every time I wash my face.

I bought this product after the zillions of rave reviews and cult following it has, and I was so disappointed. I just don’t get what the hype is about. It’s a super, SUPER thick / greasy / gritty paste (think Vaseline if you put it in the fridge). The smell is unremarkable. It is nice massaging it into your face, but again, it feels very thick and heavy. The biggest problem for me was removal - it does not come off / out of my skin easily with hot water and the muslin cloth. I have to really scrub and rinse and re-apply hot water 2-3 times before I feel like the thick greasiness is gone, then have to follow with a foaming wash in the shower to finally get rid of it.While it does leave my skin soft and clean after I eventually manage to get it all off, in my experience it was not worth the effort and the results were average. I will definitely not buy this again, especially given the hefty price tag.

I purchased this on a whim and I don’t understand the seeming “cult” status this has. It smells like moth balls and is sticky. It does the job but I won’t repurchase.

I bought this awhile back along with the $15 muslin cloth based on the positive reviews online. I used it according to the instructions - lathering the balm with some warm water and onto my face then wiping it down with a warm muslin cloth. Within a couple of days, my skin broke out like I was a hormonal teenager. I never used it again after that and I didn't realize I could return the product so it became a very expensive paper weight. I used to never read the ingredient list and rely too much on reviews. I've just discovered that this has a few different oils which I've come to learn clogs my pores and make me break out bad. I would say if you have oilier skin (mine is combination), you should stay away.

Worst breakout with this product after one use. The cloth makes it worse

I only bought this a week ago, and I’ve used it twice. It smells really bad with a strong fragrance that lingers on your face. Does it remove your makeup? Yes. Is it worth the price point? No. Is it an overrated product? Yes!

I bought the mini cleanser to see if this would work with my skin, I have combination skin erring on the oily side and am very breakout prone. It has a lovely smell and feels great on the skin but unfortunately it was a bit too gentle and didn’t assist with breakouts
