I first tried this as a sample in a beauty loop box and fell in love with it. It really is a divine deluxe cleanser that feels like your giving yourself a mini facial. It is a clear slippery balm texture but not super oily on the skin so don’t shy away if you hate oils on your skin. It literally melts on your skin as you massage it in, and it removes all makeup including stubborn eye makeup. A little goes a long way. After massaging it in you wipe off with the muslin cloth. The addition of the essential oils I think is what makes it stand out, as you hold the warm cloth over your face before wiping it off to release the essential oils (clove, eucalyptus and chamomile) that smell divine. It leaves your face thoroughly cleansed and moisturized but you don’t feel like your skin is stripped like some cleansers. If your not sure grab yourself a mini before you commit to full size as even the mini lasts for ages.

I have been using this cleanser for years. It is simply the best - leaves your skin clean but not dried out.. removes makeup with ease. Excellent for sensitive skin.

I’ve heard only great things and decided to give a sample pot a try and fell in love. The smell is like visiting a luxurious spa and melts so easily into the skin giving it such a deep cleanse removing all make-up, SPF etc. also leaves the skin feeling hydrated & smooth after using the included muslin cloth. And a bonus a little goes a long way. Highly recommend!

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago and have used it for around a week now. So far, it's been a great product to use. It doesn't dry out my skin after I wash it like some cleansers do. I was initially concerned that the balmy texture of the cleanser make be difficult to rinse off and cause more breakouts but it hasn't done that, which is great. No doubt it is on the pricey end for cleansers though, but it's worth a try if you haven't tried it before. I would buy it again when I'm finished with the current tub.

I bought this product after the zillions of rave reviews and cult following it has, and I was so disappointed. I just don’t get what the hype is about. It’s a super, SUPER thick / greasy / gritty paste (think Vaseline if you put it in the fridge). The smell is unremarkable. It is nice massaging it into your face, but again, it feels very thick and heavy. The biggest problem for me was removal - it does not come off / out of my skin easily with hot water and the muslin cloth. I have to really scrub and rinse and re-apply hot water 2-3 times before I feel like the thick greasiness is gone, then have to follow with a foaming wash in the shower to finally get rid of it.While it does leave my skin soft and clean after I eventually manage to get it all off, in my experience it was not worth the effort and the results were average. I will definitely not buy this again, especially given the hefty price tag.

I purchased this on a whim and I don’t understand the seeming “cult” status this has. It smells like moth balls and is sticky. It does the job but I won’t repurchase.

I bought this awhile back along with the $15 muslin cloth based on the positive reviews online. I used it according to the instructions - lathering the balm with some warm water and onto my face then wiping it down with a warm muslin cloth. Within a couple of days, my skin broke out like I was a hormonal teenager. I never used it again after that and I didn't realize I could return the product so it became a very expensive paper weight. I used to never read the ingredient list and rely too much on reviews. I've just discovered that this has a few different oils which I've come to learn clogs my pores and make me break out bad. I would say if you have oilier skin (mine is combination), you should stay away.

Worst breakout with this product after one use. The cloth makes it worse

I only bought this a week ago, and I’ve used it twice. It smells really bad with a strong fragrance that lingers on your face. Does it remove your makeup? Yes. Is it worth the price point? No. Is it an overrated product? Yes!

I bought the mini cleanser to see if this would work with my skin, I have combination skin erring on the oily side and am very breakout prone. It has a lovely smell and feels great on the skin but unfortunately it was a bit too gentle and didn’t assist with breakouts
