Gel Balm Cleanser

Excessive Dryness

Light

My holy grail cleanser. I prefer this gel balm cleanser to the original Eve Lom cleansing balm. I love the relaxing clove and eucalyptus scent.

With sensitive skin I never thought I would find a cleanser I can use with water and feel nourished and really cleansed. This product feels like it is detoxifying your face with loving kindness as you use it. I went away for 5 days and didn't take it with me and after a couple of days really missed it. I have always known it is important to cleanse and Eve Lom cleanser reminds me every time. I actually feel refreshed and excited to use it.

I love that this cleanser melts your day's worth of makeup without drying skin out. It saves me from using eye makeup remover and toner. Especially during winter when I usually have dry skin, it leaves my skin fresh and moisturised - not greasy or dry. It's a pricey product but worth the money!

You know the feeling all to well. Big night out. 3am. You want to go to bed but that little voice in your head is saying "remove your makeup, go on, you can do it". So I trudge to the bathroom sink, usually resembling a creature that wouldn't be out of place on Halloween. All of a sudden remembering my recent purchase of the Eve Lom Cleanser, and things begin to look up.From transcending into a heady, aromatic cloud to the satisfaction of knowing that a small muslin cloth can bring such luxury in those wee hours. It has the right amount of everything you want out of a cleanser, exfoliant and moisturiser. You can feel your skin literally drinking it up and it gives a softness and radiance that you thought only existed on a hollywood set. This isn't 'probably' the best cleanser, it is 'definitely' the best cleanser in the world and it would be a shame for anyone to not experience it.

I discovered this product while living in London, where there's no avoiding the smog and dirt collecting on one's skin (suit of armor anyone?), nor avoiding days that start at 6am and end sometime after midnight. Not only did this cleanser work - and work better than any other cleanser I've ever tried, the ritual became an important part of my day. In the morning the scent of the emulsion and heat of the muslin cloth would wake me up. Well hello bright skin! At the other end of the day I would melt into the heady steam, knowing that the only thing left to do was slide into bed, clean skinned and ready for sleep. (Shoes or boots and sometimes clothes often still on, but I don't think there's a product for that yet) I love the packaging, I love the product and I'd rate it 5 out of 5, without hesitation.

I was recommended this product after I started having some skin issues. I’ve always been lucky enough to have good skin, a bit dry but never break outs. All of a sudden I start to get very deep tiny lumps on my face, not quite pimples but just impurities. I have very sensitive skin and so am very wary of products but have this a try after it was recommended by the girl at the shop. It’s been phenomenal and I have just ordered my second bottle. Worth the dollars to treat your skin right.

Like Carrie seeing those shoes in SATC, I knew it was true love at first sight with this cleanser. My poor red dry skin has been transformed into not only human skin now, but silky. My father even asked me was I pregnant a week into using this as he said I was "glowing". Now if that's not a high recommendation I don't know what is! I love the process of applying this and taking time out to treat your skin everyday, so much so that I've ordered two backup jars!

I really regret this purchase.I've been using this cleanser every night for two weeks and have noticed no difference (and yes I've stuck to the tedious regime involved religiously). The main ingredient is liquid paraffin which pretty disappointing for such a pricey and over-hyped product.I don't even feel it being absorbed by my skin, and it just sits on the surface until you remove it.Really annoyed that I gave it a chance and didn't return it immediately for something beneficial.

I love a balm cleanser and have heard great things about this product. It worked well to remove impurities and makeup however, I can't get past the smell. It has an overpowering citrus / sweet smell that reminded me of a cocktail that lingers overnight. Yuck

I love trying a new cleanser and adding it to my twice daily skin care routine, especially if the cleanser is one that’s in all the fashion magazines and websites and blogs because everyone’s talking about it, raving about it, like this iconic Eve Lom cleanser. It’s supposed to be magic, radiant and glowing skin in a pretty little tub of gooey goodness with a facial cloth to make the cleansing experience even better. I couldn’t help myself I just had to see what everyone was talking about and try it for myself. The first thing I noticed was the extremely strong scent of eucalyptus which I was not a fan of, considering how sensitive and delicate my skin tends to be. I massaged a good dollop over my face, neck and décolletage and it was a lovely thick consistency but very rough and gritty, another thing that’s not great for my sensitive skin . I wiped it off gently with the dampened facial cloth and continued with the rest of my routine. I’m not a fan of this so called iconic cleanser and it’s certainly not going to replace my existing favourite cleanser any time soon. I noticed no significant difference to the tone or texture or radiance of my skin, probably because I only used it that one time and then gave it away. Pretty disappointed especially because of the steep price tag but I kept the matching facial cloth and use it with my usual cleanser and love it so it’s not all bad.
