I stubbornly resisted Glossier's ads for awhile and now that I've tried this product I feel silly for resisting. I am head over heels for this stuff. I have super oily, sensitive, acne-prone, but aging skin. Great combo... said no one ever. Milky Jelly is cleansing without drying, gentle and calming, and it just feels good on your skin. In one month I've noticed a pretty dramatic reduction in redness, breakouts, and my skin just looks healthier. I love the scent and texture off the cleanser. My sole complaint is that I wish the bottle came in a larger size. I would happily pay $30+ for a 12oz bottle to reduce the carbon footprint and waste!

This is one of my favorite Glossier products! I have sensitive combination skin with large pores, rosacea, frequent blackheads, and now starting to show signs of aging. My dermatologist recommended a basic gentle face wash that I use, but I wanted to see if I could find something even more calming, to target some of my skin issues. I can't say if this would be approved by my doc, or whether it does anything for my skin clinically, but I can say that it feels and smells gentle and luxurious, and after washing my face, it feels soft and hydrated in a way that it doesn't with other cleansers. I often have issues with different skin products, but so far haven't had any with this wash.

It’s just hard to beat. Soothing cleaner that even breaks down mascara. Sometimes if I have long wearing makeup on I have to wash twice (why I gave it 4 stars) but if it did that it wouldn’t be as gentle. Easy clean, great for sensitive skin and aging skin. I try others but always come back. It just works.

My very oily skin turned combo over the winter (it was actually just straight-up dry over the winter) and, while I was using a cleansing oil, all the second cleansers I tried would strip my skin of all moisture, even so-called ""gentle"" or ""moisturizing"" ones. So, I added this to my first Glossier haul to see what the fuss was about. While I'm not completely in love with it, I do like it and don't regret the purchase (like their sunscreen). First of all, I don't like rose at all (I actually kinda hate it) but was aware that they replace a bunch of the water content with rosewater, so I was prepared for the scent. (It smells just like glycerin and rosewater.) It doesn't linger, I don't have a great sniffer to begin with, and it's so good for your skin so I can overlook it. Then the consistency is really nice. I don't like how gel cleansers work/feel on dry skin (and I don't wear makeup that would have to come off), so I wet my face first, use only one pump of cleanser, and massage gently. This is such a nice, gentle wash and it has not dried me out (or done anything negative) in the week+ since I introduced this to my skincare regime. As soon as I rinse (I never get a ""milky"" water, I think I don't use enough product for that), my skin is calm and soothed - no redness whatsoever. I would use this alone, not just as my 2nd cleanse, and will probably travel with it since I could, theoretically, use only this and a moisturizer if I had to for convenience sake. (Though the bottle is a pretty flimsy plastic, I wouldn't be surprised if it got easily punctured.) For reference: I have medium olive skin, combo in winter, oily in warmer weather, with some fine lines, roughness, and severe reactive redness. For the size and price, and the fact that I won't use this daily, the value is great and I will strongly consider repurchasing when I run out.

I'm 41 and have problematic, combination skin - oily in places, dry in others, hormonal acne, and some newly formed fine lines. The only other cleanser that I've used with success in Cetaphil and it has just become too drying the last couple of years. This product is exactly what I needed. My skin is much more balanced (and stays that way throughout the day) and so soft. The ads make it seem like this company is really geared towards 20 yr-olds, but I love everything I've purchased so far!

I was a bit nervous to try the Milk Jelly Cleanser because I have some wild combination skin, excess oil, redness, pores, etc. I would always go for the products that leave a bit of a pore-shrinking sting because it felt like it was working. That being said, The Milk Jelly cleanser works. It gets rid of excess oil and grossness, and most makeup. Most importantly, it is not harsh at all while doing its job. It is soothing. My skin has become softer, clearer, and more even in tone since using this product (and a few others) for 4 months.

I think this genuinely works for some people, but not for me unfortunately. I love rose water and it smells really nice, the texture is lovely and it feels soothing. However, it made my face a little pink with irritation and didn't take all my makeup off after 2 rinses. It also seemed to leave my pores clogged. This is because I have slightly enlarged pores and am prone to occasional breakouts. I think this would be a nice, gentle cleanser for someone with small pores and not acne prone. Hope this helps!

Although Glossier claims this product is non-comedogenic, it contains isopropyl myristate which is known to clog pores. C'mon Glossier...there are so many other ingredients out there that aren't comedogenic at all. Also, if you're skeptical you can google pore clogging ingredients and see that Isopropyl Myristate definitely is something to steer clear of. Not everyone is sensitive to it but you shouldn't have to worry if something is listed as non-comedogenic.

I have pretty sensitive skin, not as bad as others I've met but still pretty sensitive. I used this and immediately started getting red blotches all over my face that lasted for hours. My skin type is the typical dry cheeks but oily T-zone. My motto is that if its not good for sensitive skin, it's not good for anyone. I don't recommend you get this or any of glossier's other skin products. My skin reacted almost exactly the same to pretty much every glossier product i've tried. The only thing I can recommend for you babes is the balm dot com. I am posting this same message on all of the products from this site that I reacted to so that I can warn others!

I bought this because I'ved heard great things about it. It feels great and the packaging is nice, but I then realized this has rose water and a plant extract which are know to cause skin reactions (like the ones I've read on other reviews. These are sensitizing ingredients and with continued use you can develop a skin allergy. Also came to the realization that a lot of Glossier skincare products have these types of ingredients. It would be perfect if they took them out. And so, I don't really think this is suitable for all skin types.

I purchased this after seeing many people using it and loving it as well as being recommended to try it. I have semi-sensitive skin that usually doesn't cause any major problems for me, but the first time I used this cleanser my face started to burn really badly and it left me completely dried out. I read many reviews before buying and I didn't think it would cause any issues but I was very disappointed! I also recommend for anyone who wants to buy this to get the smaller size to make sure that it works well for you, I'm so glad I didn't waste money and get the bigger one!

So let me just say I have cystic acne and extremely sensitive skin (what appears to be papular rosacea). A lot of my friends have recommended this product because of how soothing it was, comparing it to the First Aid Beauty Cleanser (my go-to). So I get the product, take off my makeup with micellar water, and apply this to my damp skin. The actual face washing experience was AMAZING: nice light scent, smooth texture, rinsed off easily and left my face feeling the most hydrated it has ever been after washing. So I applied my moisturizer and prayed for the other shoe to not drop. Unfortunately, it did. I started getting a slow-burning sensation along with some itchiness and heat. Went to go look in the mirror, and of course, the papular rosacea style redness and bumps occurred. Luckily it was nothing a quick cleanse, Benadryl, and ice cube couldn't fix. While it didn't work for me, I would recommend it to people without sensitive skin.
