The first few times I used this, the skin between my nose & my eye on one side of my face became *super* puffy and I was worried I was having an allergic reaction. I have since concluded that was just all the gunk deep in my skin coming up to the surface. I have no idea how it works, but it's amazing. I used to regularly have cystic acne at my jaw line -- these annoying, deep lumps that I could never pop & retinol never really did anything for. They'd come and go, but then would come back in the exact same spot. In the ~3 months since I've used this product, I haven't had any issues as my jaw line. I've also had 2 instances of a huge, deep pimple form on my chin and twice daily washing with this for a few days has totally shrunk it away both times. Because they shrink away, I never pick at them / try to pop them, so they never become red or scabby, and no one else ever notices that they're there! this thing works wonders.

I have always had pretty clear and resilient skin, so I don't use many products. But for the last two years I have started to get hormonal acne just before *that* time of the month. Always in the same places so they scar, and keep scarring. Have been trying to find something to help since it started with no relief, but then started using this Cleanser in May. Absolute magic in a bottle. I use it every 2-3 days, and when I'm close to my time of the month, I switch to daily. I still get a few blemishes but they're small, don't last long, and have given the rest of the scars time to start healing. I always follow with Super Glow and then my usual light moisturizer.

Excessive Oiliness

Age 31-40

I am always super skeptical of ""millennial pretty"" products but this stuff is GOLD. I have combination skin but it is mostly oily and I have always used bar soaps or charcoal based products to help with the oil. I was worried this would just contribute to the oil. My skin has never looked or felt better and it is so gentle! It's not as tough on mascara as they advertise but with an extra pump and a little elbow grease I was able to get mine off without an additional product!

I am on HRT and i wear a mask for 10 hours a day so my acne is out of control and this cleared it overnight. I was shocked, and I’m really impressed. This is gonna be a staple for me for sure.

I have eczema and acne - this cleanser just didn’t do it for me. It left my skin feeling dry and textured. I also didn’t like the way it pumped. If you pump it with one hand the spout isn’t long enough and all the product seeps onto the outside of the bottle. Had to pick it up pump it into my hand directly - I was disappointed with the design. I’m going to switch back to the milk jelly cleanser. I could see if you don’t suffer with eczema this could be a good option for acne. But it’s just no where near moisturising enough for me.

Really liked this product the first few uses- the smell wasn't bad for me, personally, and my skin felt SO smooth and clean (not tight!!) after using. Unfortunately, after about a week I did start developing some pretty bad acne though. In the past I have had cystic, hormonal, and dietary-related acne, but haven't experienced much since taking Accutane in 2020 until using this product! It definitely made me break out which I know because it went away after I stopped using it. I'm sure it would be fine if I used it once a week, but definitely not for everyday use. I love love LOVE the milk jelly cleaner though and have not had this issue with it!

Enlarged Pores

Age 25-30

This product clogged my pores (pores I didn't even know I had!) and caused my chin, forehead and cheeks to breakout. I would always double cleanse and use this for the last cleanse but my skin never felt clean afterwards, it felt like there was residue leftover. My skin was perfectly clear before using this, Heartbroken as I wanted to love this like the rest of my glossier products.

Sensitivity

Age 17-24

This product is not hypoallergenic as claimed. I have rosacea, and my skin turned bright red and started itching the second I put this on. Anyway, if your skin isn't sensitive to frangrances I guess it would work.

Dullness

Age 25-30

I see nothing different when compadre this to other face cleanser. I wish it at least had some fragrance. Customer service was atrocious. They could have cared less about my experience.

Rosacea

Age 17-24

I don't normally bother writing reviews ever but this product is the worst cleanser I've ever used and I dont say thay lightly, as I try a lot of brands. I don't normally get acne at all, although I do suffer from mild rosacea (causing light redness). This product has made my face break out like it has n e v e r before. I had my entire forehead covered with bumps, hurtful huge cysts on my chin, whiteheads on my cheeks. The worst part is it has worsened my rosacea to the point where I didn't know was possible. Since I've started using this products I've started to experience intense flare-ups, with my skin turning extremely red and burning to the point where I had to go see my GP because I was so worried as I've never experienced this before. Thankfully my skin has started to clear up as soon as I stopped using this cleanser. I could literally see the difference within two days, my face was finally smooth to touch and went back to its regular color, with no more painful flare-ups happening. I thought maybe it was just me, but my girlfriend tried using it as I felt bad to throw away almost half a bottle of product, and the next day she woke up with a face covered in pimples as well :( So be careful if you have a sensitive, redness/acne-prone, rosacea skin. And apparently if you have normal skin too. So disappointed.
