I haven't tested it to remove heavy makeup however it does gently cleanse the skin and a great first step. 4 instead of 5 stars as I needed to use a little more of this product compares to other brands and the residue leftover after washing was thicker than other products that I've tried. Overall I would recommend this as it's great value for money!

I have alot of trouble finding a product that doesn't make my skin red and dry , ive got the start of maturing skin and skin cancers plus wear a full face of make-up everyday for work , leaves your face feeling so nice , it kinda feels like a dry oil on your face after you wash it off , removes all my make-up including eye make-up without irritating my eyes .. would highly recommend it

After reading all the reviews for this cleanser, I was unsure about purchasing it… but I am so glad I decided to go ahead and buy it anyway! The textures (yes plural) are gorgeous and the smell is subtle but pleasing. I feel like this cleanser does a thorough yet gentle job of removing my daily light makeup and sunscreen. I have very sensitive skin and haven’t had any reactions. I use this cleanser with a micro fibre cloth and always follow up with my water based cleanser - have never had any issues with residue. After using this my skin is left clean and hydrated. Definitely recommend to those who love double cleansing and are about an ‘experience’.

Purchased this as I have been loving the Ren range and wanted to see how it compared to the jelly cleanser by Drunk Elephant. Has a lovely texture and slight rose scent. Great for removing makeup and using in conjunction with a creamy cleanser for a double cleanse.

You need to use this cleanser on a dry face. I didn't like the oily texture or the feeling of rubbing this product on my face when dry, not to mention I always forgot I meant to do it before I'd already hopped in the shower. The product leaves a residue on your face even after washing thoroughly, you need to wipe off with a cloth (says this on packaging). This is just too much work for me. Also not sure how but the product went all milky and liquid before it was finished, water must have got inside somehow. Cerave's facial cleanser is cheaper and just as good.

This product is nowhere near as good as a cleansing oil. The jelly is clearly just a novelty and unfortunately means you're left with a weird waxy finish as others have described, meaning my next cleanser has to work even harder. The worst part is the smell, a rancid combination of talcum powder and artificial cherry. I'm just glad I bought this in a kit so I can still enjoy the other REN products. No idea how this was a finalist, I need to stop basing my purchases off these.

Affordable & does what it says! I have used many jelly/oil based cleansers and this one is by far the best so far. It does leave a slight residue but my skin is on the drier side so that doesn’t bother me. Great at taking off heavy/SPF makeup.
