I’m 34 years old and have been trying different skincare things since I was a young teen. This is BY FAR my favourite cleanser. My skin has never felt so good. It is an oil cleaner so you have to do it properly (no water at first- on a dry face)… I almost wonder if the bad reviews are just improper use. I also use a washcloth if I’m removing makeup and sometimes will double wash to make sure but I don’t mind because it feels so good! My biggest complaint is the supply! Need more 150 mls please :) Recommends this product ✔ Yes

I bought my first Squalane Cleanser 1 year ago and it was a perfect match since day one. It was my first cleanser of this kind and usually my skin becomes especially tight and dry after cleaning step, so toning solution is inevitable. But with Squalane Cleanser this problem disappeared right after the first use. Skin surface changed, it is smooth and even, like right after the professional treatment done by cosmetologist. Significantly less clogged pores. Highly recommend and love it.It will not balance the extraction of sebum itself only, but in combination with Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum the result is very good for combination / oily prone skin type. Tried it at a sleepover not expecting it to work on all my black makeup which normally doesn't budge without a heavy oil or a lot of scrubbing but removed all makeup and left my skin feeling soft and not dried out at all. Now I use only this brand for face care. Recommends this product ✔ Yes

So I know there’s reviews that say like it doesn’t cleanse as much as they want, so I want to start off by saying I double cleanse. I cleanse with a foaming cleanser pat dry my face and then follow up with this cleanser. I’ve applied astringent, alcohol, toner and micelles water throughout two weeks to see whether or not there was dirt leftover after my cleanse. There wasn’t at all, keep in mind it is mild. I myself have combination skin, crazy enough after I did the extra steps my face wasn’t dry after following up with the moisturizer following my stripping steps lol! I do highly suggest this product, but more for a “I haven’t done much” rather than a full face beat, in which case I would definitely double cleanse and use this second. It does leave your skin feeling nice afterwards IN MY OPINION, if you do the first cleanse, if not I found it felt like weightier if that makes sense. Like there was a leftover, because it is supposed to be hydrating as well. However I did try it for a few weeks with no double cleanse and I can say I went from a pimple one-two times a week, to 1-2 a month. So it doe’s definitely work, if you have a good system it works better. Recommends this product ✔ Yes

This cleanser is absolutely amazing! It melts makeup away and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. I already feel like my skin looks better already after 1 week and it cleans my pores better than anything else I’ve tried. Follow the directions and do not wet your face first. 10/10 would recommend. I’m not sure if I’m using it wrong, but it never really felt like it cleaned my face. I always had to scrub with a face cloth to get my face to feel clean after using this. But scrubbing irritates me face. After a few months of using this (along with the anhydrous salicylic acid) I noticed more inflamed breakouts and congestion such as blackheads and whiteheads. I followed directions. Used it on a dry face. Rubbed the cleanser between my hands before applying. I would rub the cleaner until it became clear in colour, but after reading more reviews here, I wonder if I didn’t rub the cleanser in my hands enough. Recently I started using it again and I am rubbing it more vigorously between my hands first. I do notice that the cleanser feels oilier the more I rub, and the oilier I feels before applying, the better it seems to cleanse my face. I’ll update my review if it doesn’t break me out with this time.

Disclaimer I have always used face wash or foaming cleanser as I like my skin to feel clean. I'm new to anything oily and frankly I don't get this at all! I massage it in and then rinse off but my hands and face are still coated with oil. It might remove make up but my face it now very oily so to remove that I need an emulsifying face wash to remove that which adds an unnecessary step. What a shame. I don't get how people love this so much. I wish they'd make a proper face wash! Recommends this product ✘

So I bought this cleanser and have been using it RELIGIOUSLY because I know that consistency is key with skin care… my skin feels amazing after I use it but I’m finding that not even halfway through the day my skin looks like I have gone my entire life without washing it. My skin will look SO OILY and greasy. Perhaps the ordinary can give me some tips or offer a different product to use instead… I’ll walk into the bathroom halfway through my day and feel so embarrassed about how oily my skin looks… a problem I did not have before switching to products from the ordinary. I don’t want to give up hope though so I’m pushing through… Recommends this product ✘

I bought this a few weeks ago along with the moisturizer, matrixyl and niacinamide as my skin is acne prone. I normally used a Garnier cleanser which is cheap and simple and does tge trick but I felt like spoiling myself with some ‘luxury’ products and take my skincare to the next level. I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY BREAKOUTS IN MY LIFE! The so called cleanser clogged my pores and is oily to the point you could almost use it for deep frying chips. Recommends this product ✘
