When I got this cleanser I didn't think I'd like it. It feels oily and I tend to prefer scrubs and foaming cleansers, however my skin has become very sensitive as I've gotten older so i tried this after researching. It is surprisingly lovely, my skin feels clean and matte afterwards and it controls the excess oil! 100% would recommend this product to others. I have nodular-cystic acne and oily/combination skin, it's improved greatly. I'm very impressed! Recommends this product ✔ Yes 15 days usage. Before and After. used this cleanser for about a year before ignorantly stopping because i 'thought i didn't need it anymore'. two months later and i had the worst face of pubescent-like acne. after just three washes with this cleanser, all acne has completely disappeared. literally could not rave about this product and the ordinary brand enough. live and die by ordinary. live and die by squalane cleanser Recommends this product ✔ Yes

Okay so I may be crazy but when I use this it has the ever faintest smell of a light glazed donut, and I really like that. It's a natural smell, and is barely there and I may just be weird. So when I first got this, I was stupid and didn't like it cuz I was using it wrong and used water, it wasn't until I read the reviews and a video on YouTube how to properly use it dry. After that it was so nice and felt good. I'm used to using cleansers and immediately needing to go put on something moisturizing because my face starts to feel dry and tight but surprisingly it's not anything to that extent. It is a bit drying, and I'm trying to go a few minutes before putting on the next step to see if I got that feeling. I have combination skin but pretty dry during the fall, winter seasons. I don't feel like it's doing much as far as helping any skin concerns, but it is very calming and clean, good for my sensitive skin. Now about how much you get for the 50 ml....I was honestly worried when I pulled it out of the box because it honestly felt really empty and I had to shake it quite a lot for something to come out. For the price I paid it is what it is, but I do plan on buying the 150 ml one as soon as I can because I really like the faint smell and the light balminess of the product, it's so light and soft, not heavy and silky. It's much, much lighter than an actual cleansing balm you'd get in a jar like Banila Co's clean it zero or Byoma's melting balm cleanser. It's not heavy enough to take off hardcore makeup, but maybe something light? But I just use it when I wake up and have no makeup on, and it's soothing. I will probably pair this with something as a double cleanser, especially during my time of the month that needs something a bit more stronger. Recommends this product ✔ Yes

This was my first time using a face cleanser that you had to warm up in your hands and apply to dry skin. I LOVE IT. It does dry me out a little bit so I wait a few before doing my next steps, but I love it. I suffer from combo skin and congestion in my t zone. I feel so clean after using it and I feel like the oil spreading over my face picks up dirt better than anything I’ve ever used. Recommends this product ✔ Yes

Love using this when I need to take my makeup off or if I need to wash my face more than twice a day. It does not dry me out and I actually live the texture Recommends this product ✔ Yes

I really like how my skin feels after this, however there are a couple of issues that will stop me using it which is a shame.I don’t think it removes make-up anywhere near as well as the squalene cleanser. And, most annoyingly; it causes subsequent items in my regimen to pil on my skin - has anyone else found this? My regimen is the same as before bar the cleanser so I know it must be that. I’ve been ‘extra’ rinsing and it still happens and it’s putting me off using.

Excessive Dryness

Don't love the texture and actually find the smell off-putting. Find it strips my skin too much. I love the squalane cleanser and was expecting a similar level of gentleness, but this glycolipid one leaves my skin feeling tight and visibly drier. It does not properly clean off my non-waterproof mascara, which is one of the only makeup products I wear most days.

I still get hormonal acne from time to time but since switching to this cleanser I’ve had constant huge and painful pimples. I went back to my regular cleanser and they started going away. Unfortunately not for me

This item is just okay. It didn't blow me away. It is much more gentle than anticipated. It does not remove make up at all with water, and even with a face cloth it requires being used twice. I use it as part of a triple cleansing routine now just to get rid of it. I would only recommend using this product if you have just woken up (after cleansing your face at night), and even then it does not feel as though it removes sweat or impurities in the crevices of your nose. I won't be re-buying the product. The feel is silky and nice, but it doesn't cut it for a cleanser. It was a flop for me. I thought about rating it 1 star but I thought that was a little harsh as the packaging is nice, the feel and consistency is nice, and washing your face with it feels nice but overall it has had no results and does not really do much for your skin.

Save yr money bc this cleanser honestly is aweful bc its very stripping. Im a makeup artist and I had an event so I had thought I'd try this the week prior. Big mistake my skin was badly striped and severely red. Luckily I went to a dermatologist and he saved my skin just in time for my event. I love all other products the ordinary has. Please try the squalene cleanser. Much better.

This product made my skin break out and stripped it. My skin went from beautiful to aweful. It's more of a cleanser that should only be used to exfoliate. It messed my skin up bc it doesn't say that on it. Look at the ingredients.
