I use this cleanser to remove makeup: mascara, light brow powder and a serum based foundation. It works perfectly. I wiped a kleenex on my face to see if there was any residue left over and there wasn't. I'm not sure how it work if I wore heavier makeup such as eye shadow and lipstick? I use the foaming cleanser for days I am not wearing any makeup and that is perfect.

I love foaming cleansers so I was excited to see that The Ordinary now has one. This cleanser is gentle on my skin, foams up nicely and rinses off clean with no residue left behind like other cleansers. I will definitely keep repurchasing this product.

Brand new to skin care after having a few bad experiences when i was younger. Just ordered a whole routine from the Ordinary after watching many Cassandra Bankson ytube videos claiming these are great products at a fair price. Squalene cleanser was out of stock and signed up for O lab and ordered this new one. Really like it so far, don't have much to compare it too but for the price you cannot go wrong… would recommend

I only use theordinary products and this the first one I have found that did not work for me. It was too drying for my skin. I shall stick to the squalane cleanser which works wonders. I am going to see if I can send it back.

I have only been using this cleanser for a week as I need to switch to something more gentle and I am already breaking out really bad along my jawline. I use an oil melt to remove sunscreen and then this. Not really sure why it’s making me break out. Could be an ingredient. Such a waste

Soooo disappointed in you guys. Besides checking the description(s) at your website several times in case there was additional info added, I did chats 3 times - count 'em 3 - with your online reps about the foaming cleanser when it was launched. My specific questions and concerns were whether or not this cleanser was suitable for drier, mature skin. I said I was enjoying the Squalane cleanser (my fav will always be the Hylamide cleanser you eliminated) but I liked the idea of trying the foaming cleanser but only if it was suitable for my skin type. I was assured over and over that it was great for drier skin and/or mature skin - no problems. Your website continued to claim it was for all skin types. On your rep assurances I went ahead and purchased the foaming cleanser only to today receive your email telling me that while it is suitable for all skin types it is especially so for oily skin. The exact opposite of what I said I was looking for in my cleanser. In fact, the cleanser I had been using (and so told the reps) was the squalane that is being described in said email as best for the skin type I have and am concerned about helping. So, so disappointed in the information I received from you folks - not only a waste of money but possibly setting me back in my skin health improvement.

I understand the product is affordable. But I didn’t expect the bottle to be half empty. Disappointed that I’d probably only be able to use a few times before I run out. It works well to remove make up but it really stings my eyes not matter how much I rinse and it is hard to get out of the bottle. I like that it doesn’t strip my skin. Recommends this product ✘
